To engage our youngest athletes, we keep this group moving non-stop in a fun and fast paced setting. Adaptive training tools are used to build eye-hand coordination including softer, smaller balls. The staff will adapt so young athletes can feel the excitement of real training and game play without having to do things that their bodies aren't ready for just yet. We focus on small group teamwork or partner drills, learning volleyball terminology, and the basics of passing, setting, hitting and serving. Through drills tailored to their shorter attention span, they are able to learn skills while boosting their confidence and fostering a love for the game of volleyball. This session will be progressive, so it is important to make each class.
Instructors: This program is run by an early childhood education specialist and licensed childcare provider along with Empire Volleyball Club staff (current and former collegiate coaches, area high school and middle school coaches, current elite team players).
